Detroit TV Stations Partner On Virtual ‘Governor’s Town Hall’

https://tvnewscheck.com/article/more-news/247009/247009/

Commercial and public television stations in the Detroit market will partner to produce and broadcast a Governor’s Town Hall to provide viewers the opportunity to ask questions of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer during this time of crisis.

WJBK, WDIV, WXYZ, WMYD, WKBD, WTVS, WADL and WWJ will all broadcast the Town Hall, live, on Thursday April 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. along with TV and radio stations across Michigan (listed below), in partnership with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters.

The Town Hall will be hosted by Detroit news anchors Carolyn Clifford (WXYZ), Huel Perkins (WJBK) and Devin Scillian (WDIV). Each of those three stations will offer opportunities to its viewers to submit questions for the governor online that each anchor will ask during the broadcast. The anchors will host from their stations’ respective studios, while the governor will join from Lansing.
