DFW RADIO/TV LUNCH BUNCH SET FOR SAT DEC 5 AT 1PM IN IRVING

Time for one last "Lunch Bunch" for the year...AND for the decade! Meeting once again at Boston's Gourmet Pizza, on the westbound 635/LBJ service road just west of MacArthur in the Valley Ranch section of Irving. We'll meet Saturday, December 5 at 1PM.

As usual, very casual, no formalities, no speeches, each person pays for their own, etc. Just come out and catch up with old friends, make new friends, etc, and maybe do a little networking! And same goes as always, folks involved in any type of media, current or past, employed or unemployed (that's most of us nowadays, right?) are welcome to sit in. And bring a friend!

And if you're afraid of disrupting a day of Christmas shopping, there's a Sam's, WalMart, Fry's, Target, etc all within semi-walking distance of Boston's!!

Hope to see everyone there!
Mike Shannon

Last one of the decade? You're not having any next year? wow

Technically the next decade begins in 2010. So party on dudes, like it's 2009.

I've never been employed in the industry but I do read these boards and am a radio listener, can I come?
Only if you promise not to act like a groupie. Ya know, WE radio people are so loved and cherished by YOU folks that we just can't get over ourselves. ::)

Well, maybe 30 years ago or so. (Although I know one or two who still think the earth should stop when they enter a room...but they usually don't come to this kind of event.)

By all means, YES, come join us! :)

Mike, I hate it when you talk about me like that!!

I believe you, but I guess it's all symantics. I recall having a similar argument over when Y2K actually started. Some folks contended that it was 2001, not 2000. Regardless, for me at least, when someone says, for example, "the 60s," I'll always think 1960-69.

Either way, we'll still have some get-togethers in 2010, no matter what decade it falls in!! (Or maybe we'll take the year off, just to spite ourselves.) ;D
