DID ANY LOCAL RADIO STATIONS BOTHER WITH FORT HOOD?

If it ain't a tea party, WBAP could care less. KLIF wasn't very good, and even KERA dropped the ball.

KRLD kept me up to date until I could get home for internet and cable TV coverage. I don't hit 1080 very often, but they earned my respect.

All I gots to say is God bless the legendary 780 - WBBM...how a
radio news operation should be.....unfortunately for us North Texans,
it's in Chicago....and we can only hear it at night....but there a a LOT
of folks at news/talk stations (from station management down to board ops
and producers) who could get some tips from that mighty entity of the US
broadcast establishment ...

As far as the traffic element, yeah, on a national tragedy day, the KISS
method is highly advisable and recommended. Get in, get out. Respect the
bigger news of the day. That was always my personal policy. Sorry to say,
but most people couldn't give a rat's if the Tollway is clear, if 12 people
are dead and numerous others injured on a military base in our backyard...
Traffic takes a big step onto the back burner on a day like that...
