i was half asleep so maybe i heard it wrong or maybe it was a joke. it sounded like they fired him, sent him home and blamed him cuz their show sux. it does suck but its their fault, they r the worst jocks i ever heard, brian sounds like a drunk retard who should be on oldies station. was this for real they fired him? any1 know? any1 care?

Joke or not that isnt right. No one no matter how crappy they do their job deserves that. Besides, it was the jocks fault, not the producers. Sounds like if they get fired, it will be justified thanks to their disrespectful on air firing. That is if in fact they did it. I am surprised anyone heard it being such a bad show and all.

If it was for real, that isn't right. If it wasn't for real, that would be what the Kimmer always called a "booger show". Either way, as Fat Albert said, it's like school on Saturday--no class.
 
If it's a prank, it's possibly even less funny than the two or three bits of theirs that I've happened to hear. Obviously that's saying something.
 
for the 5 or10 minutes i heard this morning they mentioned it again, said their next guest was the pope, booking him was the last thing their producer did. forget his name, something mexican.
no suprise the pope bit wasnt funny either. if project would ax these idiots and stop playng old music the station wouldnt be half bad.

I agree on the old music. With 99x gone and 100.5 now on why straddle this ridiculous line. Go new!
 
I agree with the eliminating the old music. At the very least, nothing played pre-1980. In addition to no more 99X, now for those of us in NE GA, Bulldog 103.7 out of Athens has skewed to a more classic rock format and doesn't play new music. That's a shame because that a college town and now they don't even play the new REM and B-52's on there. Thus, Project 9-6-1 has an opportunity to capitalize on this opening.

Sounds like these clowns need to be taught a lesson. I have never forgotten where I came from. We all for the most part started as board ops. That is why I never get angry at mine. I was on the receiving end of a lot of abuse but the host never took it too far. Remembering how it was way back then I feel has made me a better jock. By remembering what it was like in my humble beginnings. I guess these guys suck so much they had to take it out on someone beneth them. (career-wise) I hope their show sucks even more and they are fired on air.

they couldnt possibly suck any more then they already do. wtf r they doing on the air and morning x isnt. if project was smart they get leslie and jimmy in there.

is there still bad blood between leslie and chris williams or r things cool now. any1 know?
 
It's so humorous that non-radio folks think a producer actually has power in a morning show. Oftentimes the producer (or "Executive Producer" ::)) is just a glorified "Gopher" who processes paperwork and hires the 19-year-old hottie blonde nubile interns!

It's hard for a $30K producer to wield any power over the $200K+ "talent!" It's a great-sounding job, until you run into the monstrous egos of morning drive! :D
