Did the 20 inches of rain take out any Pensacola area stations this weekend?

While I was out driving around in that mess I never heard a peep about it on the radio. Seems like 20 inches might be enough to make the ground around one of the Non-com or AM towers unstable enough to fall over. Or it could just flood out a transmitter shack or even cause long term power outages.

I haven't heard anything about radio or tv stations taking any damage and I'm not noticing anything missing from the dial, but it certainly was a situation that could have caused some damage... especially to one of those AM towers in a swamp somewhere.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I never heard a peep about bridges collapsing or sinkholes washing out roads or 5 feet of water over major roadways on the radio this weekend. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work!

Sorry poledo, but here's another 5 in a row of your country favorites! LOL.

It looks like it was just WEAR TV covering this situation. I didn't even realize how bad it was over there until it made the national news the other night. WKRG seems to be doing a good job posting pictures and advisories to their Facebook page, too.

You'd think a 100,000 watt "News"/Talk FM might be interested in being live and local during a weather event. ???

This is why the FCC should look at the ownership rules, but why they will not. Keeping Americans informed or educated is certainly NOT a top priority of many, if any, in Washington. Pathetic. I bet Mark Carter had information on Seabreeze, but wouldn't have helped much in Pensacola. We had similar issues in Nashville during our huge flood a few years ago. Unacceptable, but totally permitted.
