Agreed. Upside down bolts on towers is standard practice.awsherrill said:As it was explained to me...if you put the bolts in head-down (lockwasher/nut on top of the flange), if the nut comes off the bolt will eventually fall out of the hole. That problem would be much easier to spot in an inspection than if the bolt were inserted head-up. Then the bolt would tend to stay in place if the nut came off, and the lack of a sturdy connection would be harder to spot.
