Discovery's 'Eaten Alive' Sparks Viewer Outrage After Paul Rosolie Doesn't Get Eaten

On it's face Sharknado and Sharknado 2 never held back the fact that the made for tv movies would be nothing more than pure schlock and cheese.
It also delivered it's promise and then some.
You knew what your were tuning in for.

This 'Eaten Alive' stunt was just that, a stunt.
If it wanted to be truthful in it's presentation it should have been titled "My Arm Is Hurting Really Bad, We Need to Stop Filming Now"
Hardly a riveting television title don't you think but it would be accurate.

Anyone tuning in with the notion that a guy was going to be eaten by an anaconda needs to have their head examined.
Doesn't Discovery Channel run those awful Ghost Hunter/Supernatural Entities hokum shows too?
If anything, Discovery took a much needed public relations hit because a once great educational channel has turned into nothing more than cheap circus act.

Discovery Channel is a shell of its own self. It used to be a good channel in the 90s and even early-mid 00s with shows like American Chopper and Deadliest Catch. Now, it's a shell of its own self, letting someone try to get "eaten" with protective gear by a snake. What's next? "Mauled By a Bear"?
And I'm sure if this guy WAS killed by the anaconda, Discovery would probably get millions in fines for showing it on a basic cable channel. Getting REALLY killed by an anaconda I don't believe is even HBO or Cinemax material on television, but it could be. Let's hope some of the movie networks just keep on playing movies and don't turn into True Blood marathons.
