Most syndicated shows don't get ratings, and in the case of ESPN - it doesn't matter. They exist simply to pimp the brand names and ego-maniac no talents like Dan Patrick fill 3 hours during insignificant time slots. Rome used to get ratings in his harmless slot also..but those kinds of shows are easy filler with so little local talent around. Local stations will build the stations around good morning and afternoon shows and plug-in Rome and Patrick who would never be on drive drive because the shows have zero entertainment value and wouldn't get ratings in am or pm drive.
I think Bruno was getting am drive numbers in some places like San Antonio, Tampa, San Francisco and some in LA..but never huge ratings. Sports stations don't really need ratings to sell time. Some stations with zero ratings can still find strip clubs and other small time clients to buy time.
