Do some Los Angeles radio station can make it in North Dakota?

Some radio station signals such as 640 KFI, 710 KSPN, 760 KFMB, 830 KLAA, 1020 KTNQ, 1070 KNX, 1090 XEPRS, 1110 KDIS and more radio stations from that area can reach North Dakota?
I'm going Bismarck, ND for Vacation in July and I really want to know all of the radio stations I suppose to get during the nighttime.
If You know about Bismarck, ND. Please comment down below. It will help Me know what kind of radio stations coming in.

You will probably not receive any LA stations. There are lots of midwest 50kW AM stations which cover North Dakota at night.

I know that some other radio stations such as 540 CBK, 1540 KXEL, 1040 WHO, and some other radio stations are going to be there.

But I just need to know a list of radio stations that will be coming in in the nighttime.

For example :
540 CBK Watrous, SK (Canada)
550 KFYR Bismarck, ND
620 CKCK Regina, SK (Canada)
650 WSM Nashville, TN (Weak)
1540 KXEL Waterloo, IA
That's how I keep a list of AM radio stations. I just put them in order in the dials.

You'd likely get KFI--640. That's the one LA station that travels far across the country. It's a legacy from the days of clear channels...stations that were granted exclusivity to a position on the dial.

Today, getting KFI is going to be rare, as there are many other stations, albeit ones of lower power, on 640 at night. There is also a high-power Cuban, which disrupts the frequency in much of the East and Midwest. But it is not going to be "armchair listening" like it used to be.

KFI: maybe, but with patience and work.
KSPN: never unless you are a very skilled DXer with big loops and beverage antennas. The station is directional away from that part of the country. And 710 is filled with other stations closer to you.
KFMB: same as KSPN. It sends its signal all to the west. Blocked by 50 kw WJR in Detroit, too.
KLAA: Probably never. Does not even cover most of LA at night. Blocked by 24/7 operation of WCCO in Minneapolis.
KTNQ: Next to never. Highly directional, all to the west.
KNX: might break through on a good night under all the other stuff on 1070. Would be a rare, "oh, wow" moment.
XEPRS: Practically never. Has nearly no signal toward ND, as the main lobe goes NNW/SSE from Rosarito
KDIS: Directional away from Midwest. And 1110 in Omaha, 50 kw KFAB, is on 24/7 as is XERED in Mexico City.

I can get KNX 1070 here in Colorado Springs, with heavy static and interference, with some rare nights coming in decent and clearer. Of course, I suppose it depends on all those thunderstorms occurring almost everywhere it seems, this time of year. I suppose when the SW monsoon storms get going in the summer, it'll be harder to pick up. Funny to hear sig-alerts 816 miles away, as the crow flies.

But much farther east and north, the 5 kw night lobes of Verndale, MN and Madison, WI are pretty much aimed at ND. The 5 kw lobes of those two are the near equivalents of an omnidirectional 50 kw.

My favorite thing to do back in the mid 70s was sit in my first car (62 Chevy Nova II) and DX stations, mainly to try and pick up stations from where I used to live in Florida. Low and behold, one night I picked up 3 stations out of California, 2 from LA and one from somewhere around San Francisco. Mind blown! Never picked them up again no matter how many nights I tried over the years. I cannot for the life of me remember the call letters, they were fading in and out and after about 45 minutes were gone for good. And I live in NE Ohio. Same week I picked up KOA out of Denver on 850 AM which completely overwhelmed the 850 station out of Cleveland and that has happened more than once. So possibility exists, maybe remotely, that he could pick them up in North Dakota......if he's lucky.
