do u think power 92 will switch formats now that the tom joyner morning show is

I think its a retarded idea since Tom joyner is already on their sister station. I feel its also a bad idea because Tom Joyner Dont fit in urban radio. They should of just got Rickey smiley which makes so much sense.
 
I think they are slowly going to skew the format to Urban AC. Trying to compete with GCI hasn't worked since they have been on the air. Besides, V-103 needs a more powerful competitor. It would make sense for someone to try to take them (v-103) on, especially on a better signal. This move should have been made about three to five years ago when Crawford saw that the mainstream Urban format wasn't working for them. What took them sooooooooooo long?
 
Hmmm, i'm hearing Warren Ballentine's show on WSRB / SOUL 106.3 via the net. I'm assuming Al Sharpton's show will follow then Michael Baisden in the aftrenoons. Is Crawford trying to compete against V103 with 2 stations both catering to the 25-54 demo? POWER 92.3 is only playing R&B. Where's the Hip-Hop?
 
My guess is Power is changing to Urban AC. Tom Joyner does not appeal to 18-34, so I'm guessing they're moving UAC to 92 and 106.3 is moving to black talk to compete with 1390?? That's my guess. I'm guessing the new station will skew younger since gold based playlist wasn't working and they're falling off all over the country.
 
transition takes time. they have big contracts to handle sam sylk especially that jumped ship back here from cleveland and that would SUCK for him if he lost being a major player in the Chi, he coulda stayed in cleveland
