As far as I know, everyone I listed are/were all listed for being that long at just one station.
Or did you mean one station for their
entire career? If that's the case, then that definitely narrows my list down quite a bit -- because there are many people who did work at other stations before they got to their present jobs. And as for the others, I can't say I know their personal histories well enough to attest to whether they've been at other stations in the past.
John Hurlbutt stands out as the only definite, one-station-career man, at 40 years.
According to
this article, 93Q's Amy Robbins did work at another station for about a year before she began her long run at 93Q. The way the article is worded though, it's not clear if Ted worked anywhere else first -- but he did mention he was at 93.1 doing afternoons before the format changed to CHR.
My thanks to Scott Fybush, who e-mailed me off-board to inform me that WBBS was, in fact, born in 1993, not 1996 -- though that might be irrelevant since we know Ron Bee definitely worked at other stations including the legendary WOLF decades earlier. Not sure about Becky Palmer's history prior to WBBS.
Those are all Syracuse though... so Joe, I think you very well may be the winner for Utica-Rome.
YEAH, I was talking about
one station for the entire career.
