Does anyone have one that I can listen to? If you do, tell me!
Not too likely to exist, unless somebody at the station was recording at the time. Not too exciting, either.
MOViN was developed elsewhere and brought into 99.7 suddenly in mid-morning, and in secret. There was no MOViN launch build-up with stunting or anything like that. The whole format was generic and had no local references or mention of the frequency. Just the hideous automated "Brad and Tasia" telling the music would make us
"feel good!" For example, those MOViN jingles didn't include the "99.7" until about 3 months later.
The KFRC Classic Rock jocks were called into the manager's office either after their shift (Cammy & Dean), or before their shifts (Sue Hall, etc.), then fired on the spot, and
escorted from the building.
Pretty ugly, even for radio.
