In all fairness, the original question was (to paraphrase) does anybody know the size of Dr. Weiner's audience and does it skew old?
Ranger was the first one to get political when he said:
"Colleges and universities, however, are a bastion for the views projected on progressive radio shows. Its good for each and every individual to find his/her own niche in the spectrum of beliefs. "
Talkers estimates Dr. Weiner's weekly cume at 5.5 million.
While this or any right-wing political talk show will have listeners of any age, the average if well over 65 (possibly higher since Nielsen stops recording ages above 65).
I question Ranger's assertion that listening to talk radio is the same as "getting involved." Actually, it's the opposite of getting involvement.
Ranger: Are you a college student? Or when you call colleges and universities a "bastion" of the views heard on progressive talk radio are you just repeating what Dr. Weiner and other right-wing hosts have told you? Your comment suggests you think college faculty somehow impose their one-sided opinions but right-wing talk does not? And no "spectrum of beliefs" exists in radio; talk radio is all right-wing, all the time.
