There's no doubt that "low ratings" and "perfectly fine" don't correlate but people here are talking about 12+ numbers which are completely meaningless. And even if Sunny isn't pulling gangbusters numbers in the demo, it's so cheap to run, it would still take more than a measley rating to pull the plug. As long as CC can sell it--and can't come up with something they could sell better--Sunny is safe.

Sports coverage is a fad format? I could be crazy but I kinda disagree. Doing a bunch of syndicated sports shows in a market like Philly, however, might be a fad due to the pure stupidity of it.

I agree that all radio companies are constantly considering the performance and formats of every station they own...but, in this thread, I am strictly addressing the way people seem to assume that Clear Channel is scrutinizing Sunny in particular and considering them for a flip. I just believe that assumption is wrong. I think CC is probably scrutinizing Q102 more closely than they are Sunny.

That's what I'm talking about! And even in WMMR's most flea-infested periods, it was still more expensive to operate than Sunny ever has been!

Again, I think Sunny is safe. Probably one of the safest stations in the market.
