Donald Trump To Host 'Saturday Night Live' November 7

I'll make it a point to watch when Tracey Morgan hosts this Saturday. I hate Miley Cyrus and don't really care for Amy Schumer. I saw a short clip or two from those episodes so far. I will NOT watch Trump's episode.

On a semi-related note, isn't there some rule about equal time with candidates or something like that?

How could you hate one person and not really care for another one? You may not like the person, but you should not hate her.

I do wonder if SNL might be required to provide equal time to some of the other candidates. They are not a news show, by any means, so having HRC and Trump! on the broadcast might lead to others being giving time, if they request it on that basis.

Per FCC rules, qualified candidate appearances on non-news broadcasts are subject to the "equal opportunities" requirement which requires TV stations who give airtime to one candidate to offer other qualified candidates for the same office an equivalent amount of airtime on the station.

The requirement is on stations, not networks, to provide that equal opportunity.

If I owned an NBC television affiliate, I would not air the SNL program. No matter which candidate hosted the program, I would pass. NBC is opening a huge can of political worms for the affiliate stations.

Hillary Rodham Clinton has already been on, for those who might not know.
