Donna Mason, former host on WPTF and the former WZZU, had died at 73

Donna Mason (who's real name was Donna Substenly), was a well-known personality on Raleigh's airwaves during the 1980s and 1990s.

She was on the Morning Zoo at the former 93.9 WZZU "94Z" before moving to 680 WPTF where she co-hosted the morning show with Maury O'Dell. She also had an interview panel-style program with newsmakers, 'The Donna Mason Show" from 11-12.

A Memorial service will be held at The Cremation Society of North Carolina, 2205 East Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC. Friday, June 30, 1023.
The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 7 PM with a memorial service at 5 PM.
