Don't call Ray Magliozzi of NPR’s "Car Talk" for a free car.

ha--yes I know the name is the same. I was pretty sure it wasn't the same one (esp. since the orig. news stories had said it was in Vermont) and now I know for sure

"Don't drive like my brother"
"Don't drive like MY brother"

This FAQ hasn't been updated in years, but that doesn't mean it's not still correct.

10. What kind of cars do Tom and Ray drive...really?

Tom doesn't drive. No kidding. He lives in the city, and you'd have to be crazy to want to own a car in downtown Boston. His last car, though, was a 1952 MG TD.

Ray drives a thoroughly modern, fuel-efficient car. By comparison, that is. It's a 1987 Dodge Colt Vista. Ray calls it, "A marvel of engineering." The rest of us call it "a study in ugliness." He bought it off a customer at his garage for $100.
