GlennO said:What's the point of anybody saying what they heard if nobody says where they are? If I want to look up what's on 1080, I could go to Radio-Locator. BTW I'm in Colchester, CT, about 30 miles east of WTIC and really couldn't make out anything specific last night at 11:30pm.

From the far north suburbs of Chicago, I have only heard them once and, even then, they were in the mud and I never got a positive ID. Yet, I remember 25 years ago when WTIC would be quite strong into the midwest and fighting with KRLD. Now KRLD is the clear winner. But with all of the new signals getting the FCC blessing to transmit at night on 1080, the entire channel is a mess.
It is a microcosm of what is killing the MW band.
