Eagan and Braude land at WGBH radio

>>there ARE a lot of 'progressives' who consider anyone to the right of Rachel Maddow a rightwing bombthrower

raccoonradio likes this.

there are some like me, not of any party, "classical liberal"--small but efficient government, keep
the Dems out of my wallet and the Repubs out of my bedroom and both away from the constititutional rights. That being said, not too long ago the Phoenix put a video up of the Occupiers
next to the Fox 25 downtown studios, chanting "This is what democracy looks like." This week
the Phoenix and its readers found out what bankruptcy looks like--despite Mindich getting
$14.5 mil from Clear Channel for FNX.

The Boston area is full of stupid, righty, reactionaries.

We must run in different circle. In my 60-plus years in Boston, I think I can count on one hand the number of true "reactionaries" I've actually known, or even met.

Obviously you've never worked for Raytheon or Mitre or any of the other "defense" contractors in the area. Those guys with the white pocket protectors are mostly to the right of the tea party people.

Nonsense. Most employees at these organizations are engineers and scientists, who, while not immune from political extremism, are for the most part deeply rooted in mainstream political reality. It's the non-pocket-protector-wearing employees that are more likely to be wingnuts. (No one wears pocket protectors anymore - I'm referring to technicians, skilled tradesmen, security guards, admins, and executives.)
