On Monday September 8th, East Valley Radio Network returns to the air on 1440 KAZG-AM weekdays from 3-6pm.
As it did last year during its first run on KAZG, East Valley Radio Network will focus 100% on newsmaker interviews, entertainment, high school sports info, business profiles and events happening in the in the 17 communities that comprise the East Valley.
Host Scott Anderson says that while last year's run received a lot of positive response from the press and listeners, EVRN did not mount an effective sales effort to continue the project past the four months it ran. That has been remedied, and they have expanded the time slot from 2 to 3 hours. Anderson believes that in an era of ever-increasing media advertising costs, taking a geographic focus vs. a demographic Valley-wide approach will keep costs down for advertisers and make radio more affordable for smaller businesses.
