Eastern North Carolina/Re: For those who still think 107.9 plays oldies

Identity issues yes.. but that will happen sometimes when you are searching for a new groove.Let's face there is nobody willing to try to take advantage of any station who is testing some new waters. Now is a perfect time for KOOL to really make a move but they won't because it would require some people, effort and to spend some money. The worst thing you can do in radio is nothing. Its pretty obvious to tell who cares and who doesn't and there is no doubt of the big groups
Beasley makes the most effort.Radio is in a tough spot right now because of the economy.A lot of laying off people has been happening and so far Beasley has not done that and to me that says alot about the overall stability of the company. In radio you take things one day at a time and you appreciate having a job everyday
when you walk in the building..Believe me I do..... I also know no one is promised tommorrow..

I actually like 107.9 targeting younger listeners. I am in my 20's and I love the old oldies format but I can relate to the current oldies format or the classic hits better, because its more music that I recognize. I guess it also looks better in the sales kits. The fact that they target ages 25-60.
