Ed Eubanks, former KXAS-TV (Fort Worth) anchor/reporter, dies at 55

This happened about 4 months ago, but just found out about it yesterday. Eubanks co-hosted Ch 5's 5PM newscasts starting in Sept, 1977 (Russ Bloxom, Harold Taft and Frank Glieber were the others...of which Russ is the only one still with us.) Eubanks, whose real name was Ed Buggs, was only 23 when he got the promotion of a lifetime. In later years, he did TV and radio in Baton Rouge, LA.

BTW, unfortunately, the autopsy results later showed that he died from a torn aorta from cocaine abuse. Very sad.
