Eddie Edwards Oct. 5 Announcement on buying radio station

If it is AM, I'd presume he going after an older audience. As I said elsewhere, I don't think the Hip Hop crowd will do AM, not with enough Urban leaning hits on B and Kiss.

i couldnt see AM happening in anyway unless its gospel or talk there wont even be high ratings plus its 2009

I don't know anything at all. But-----------------

1) If Keymarket sells 104.3, that means they are getting out of Pittsburgh as you said. Could 94.9 be moved in?

2) If WSHH is sold, that means Renda is going and that makes Q top AC ( yecchhh)

3) If 92.9 or BOB is sold, that means their owner might be giving up

4) Would K-Love sell this soon?

5) 106.7 is available--------I'd bet he bought it and the WAMO calls. But then again, I could be wrong

6) He could buy an AM and do R&b, news, and public service and say he is serving the community . The youth market is not the whole community.

I dont know. I couldnt see St. Joesphs selling 106.7 it wouldnt sound right. 75% of people could pick up 106.7 at that time the Transmitter was in Wexford. Plus sheridan made that move to go to 106.7 from 105.9 i would leave that 106.7 in the past. The last urban station 100% of the people could get was the old 104.7 WJJJ. But if its a clear FM station he may buy it should be R&B 1st than the Hip Hop station next. Pittsburgh has a very high R&B and Classic Soul crowd its more tolerated then Hip Hop. But the main focus is getting FM R&B station on the air

I can't see Forever/Keymarket bailing out. They will not die as long as Kerby is at the helm.

my money and microsoft points is on 92.9 or 104.3

Aside from the fact that you don't like the music that's currently on those stations, what business reason do you see for those stations to sell?

I'll just say this. It would be a perfect signal for a perfect station. and 92.9 would be a good station for URBAN AC(R&B)
#1-92.9 experiment to switch to an upbeat AC format is not working in the ratings to beat Wish 99-7
#2-92.9 is family owned station (steel City Media)

104.3 Could sell that station. Forever just purchased stations for the hell of it. they sold 98.3. 104.3 will be next if they plan to sell. there is that big gap between 102.5-104.7. 2 stations between it is 103.5 and 104.3 thats not reachable for everyone in pittsburgh

Wow.

92.9 is probably doing better 25-54 than WSHH, and they are making money. WAMO went out of business. Why would that flip benefit 92.9 if they can't sell those ratings? Plus 92.9 is sold in conjunction with BOB-FM, and the Frischlings probably can't make a go of it with just one signal.

There is so much wrong with your evaluation of Keymarket I don't even know where to start, so I won't bother.

CC is just barely going to clear the financial hurdle at the end of the year (kind of like an NHL team that's $1,000 under the salary cap). It would actually make sense for them to dump a signal at a firesale price.

Just something else to throw into the wind.

CC could dump any station, but keep the format. They could sell 104.7 and move that format to 94.5 as an example, but I guess this is obvious. What about 540? At least it is 24/7.
