The "non Snoop Dogg" version of CG is just plain stale. Snoop helped make it #1 for 6 weeks, it's not fair that just because he's a rapper they have to cut out EVERY WORD he says. Katy Perry chose him to be on it- not to NOT be on it just because HAC & wimpy CHR stations are afraid to have him on there. I believe HAC stations cater to 20-somethings to 40-somethings. 40-somethings were 80's teenagers & I'm sure aren't going to gasp & tune out when they hear him. "I Want You" by Thalia & Fat Joe was another classic example- same w/ "I'm Real" by J-Lo & Ja-Rule.
Rant #2: I noticed on a couple HAC stations & even on-line on WTWR (Tower 98), Monroe, Mi that they were playing this version of "Nothin' On You" (B.O.B & BM) where they literally chop off about the last :40 of the song. After being used to hearing "And that's just how we do it...(laugh)...and I'm gonna let this ride...B.O.B...Bruno Marrs..." getting chopped before any of that big catchy ending kicks in. They could have at least waited 'til right after "And that's just how we do it". It sounds like total crap, especially for those of us who heard the regular version over & over for the last 4 months & AC stations are now jumping on it after all this time. I'd rather them not play it at all.
