Effect of Cosby Verdict to The Cosby Show Reruns

Is 'The Cosby Show' pretty much forever to be not seen on cable and antenna?

I checked BounceTV and TV One and don't see it listed, but I could be wrong. It was just a few months ago that I saw it was being aired. Fair to say it's been permanently pulled?

On SiriusXM, Jamie Foxx's "curated" channel, The Foxxhole, played Cosby standup bits after all of SXM's other comedy channels had banned him. Foxx's contract expired a few months ago and the channel is now "curated" by another black comedian, Kevin Hart, who has not played anything by Cosby since the channel signed on. Whether this was his choice or SXM management's mandate, or whether the non-renewal of Foxx's deal had anything to do with his continuing support of Cosby through airplay, we'll probably never know.

Eventually it will be back in regular rotation. So will Roseanne.

These things blow over and the public forgets. Witness how much airplay
Michael Jackson's records still get.

Not saying it should be that way, but it is. In a billion channel universe everybody
is starving for content.

Nah. I don't think Cosby's rapes are going to "blow over." Roseanne Barr is different - a person who likely has some mental health issues, a comic, has a history of acerbic remarks. To me, that is forgivable, given some time, and a couple more mea culpas from Ms. Barr. As far as Michael Jackson goes, the charges were never proven against him, though everybody 'thinks' they are probably true. Dozens of children or parents did not come forward, as dozens of women did to accuse Cosby.

As great as The Cosby Show may have been, can anybody look at it again without thinking of the scurrilous things he did, and how LONG he got away with it?

Amazon is apparently dumping Roseanne DVDs. We paid about $25 for the entire series of 27 DVDs this week. I haven't checked if The Cosby Show is being handled in a similar manner.

who buys DVD box sets anymore besides the most loyal fans?

Someone, like my Significant Other, who has medical issues and has trouble figuring out the online world. We have probably a couple dozen DVD boxed sets of various series'.
