El Mandril Runs Out Of The Studio During This Morning's Earthquake

Here in Glendale we felt only a moderately strong rolling motion for about eight seconds. El Mandril reminds me of KNBC-Channel 4 news anchor Kent Shocknek, who dived under the desk during a live telecast when an aftershock of the 1987 Whittier Narrows earthquake hit.

However, in the "lead by example" arena, ducking under a desk shows viewers what to do. Running out of a building is exactly what you are not supposed to do.
