Electric Zoo canceled due to deaths from drug overdoses

The mayor of NYC ordered Electric Zoo to be canceled on its third day due to 2 people dying from suspected MDMA overdoses. To me, this is a knee jerk reaction. Canceling an EDM concert won't stop people from doing molly. The majority of the people there didn't do drugs. It's inevitable when there are over 10000 people at an event, some people will do bad stuff.
 
Let me follow up.

Mayor Bloomberg later came out DEFENDING Made Event (the Electric Zoo promoters) and said that they have done a "stellar job". So to that, there will most likely be an EZoo for 2014. But this time around security must be BEEFED and it would be smart for Made to provide pamphlets to everyone, educating them about drugs like MDMA.

It's not going to stop drugs from getting in but at least if people are armed with information, perhaps they can know how to get themselves out of a bad situation
