EMF BUYS FULL-MARKET COMMERCIAL FM IN KANSAS CITY

  • Thread starter War Of Attrition
  • Start date

They've typically used the 10% number on-air before (although it isn't mentioned very much), so that's pretty close to keep it in the 8-12% range.

Of course, if you keep expanding, over time it reduces the need to set aside funds to further expand. ;)

I can remember some comments during the fund drives on K-LOVE that new stations were on the air because of the donations of listeners of other stations that had come on before, and that a part of the donations of new listeners would help to continue expansion into new areas. So it sounds to me like they're being straightforward about a part of the donations going toward expansion.

The fact is, most people who give have no idea that their hard-earned money is going toward another signal in another state. The main slogan used during KLOVE begathon's is "to support YOUR local KLOVE station". Wonder if they'll let listeners know how many millions of dollars have been spent in the past 6 months on new stations...and not their LOCAL KLove station? Doubt it!

You are just trying to stir up controversy. I would want my money to help buy more stations and I am sure most others would too who like K-Love. The people who have a problem with K-Love expanding are those who do not listen and do not support them. And they do say and make known that is what they do.
