Entravision Closes On KTCY-FM/Dallas For $35M
Entravision Communications has closed on its purchase of KTCY-FM/Dallas from Spanish Broadcasting System for $35 million in cash. The company had operated KTCY-FM under a LMA since last June. Entravision now owns KKDL-FM, KRVA-AM, KTCY-FM, KZMP-AM and KZMP-FM in Dallas. KTCY-FM airs Entravision's Super Estrella format, a music-driven, young adult, Pop/Alternative Spanish Rock format. When that article was written, KTCY was on 104.9. I believe 101.7 was KZMP-FM.

It pretty much is what it is unless there is a major FCC rule change.

I live on the rimshot of the station in south arlington and can get the station with very good quality on the north side of I 20 near the Arlington Municipal airport and I live two intersections from being out of the station contour.

It has been a long time since I lived in the D-FW metroplex, but I did some streaming on several stations in the metroplex. You already have a station that does essentially the EMF K-Love type format and it is not KLTY. There is another station on 88.3 and it called "The Journey". Dallas-Fort Worth does not need EMF to drop in another station and cause trouble between CBS and EMF.

The Journey is a great station but it is located in Keene, Texas and really only covers the Southwestern side of DFW. You can't hear it east of Fort Worth. It's non-existent east of Hwy 360.
