Emmett Miller (KTLA news anchor) about Emmett Miller (minstrel singer)

...was talking to a friend last night about the new inductees to the Grammy Hall of Fame, which were announced yesterday, when I noticed that the June 1928 record of "Lovesick Blues" by blackface minstrel star Emmett Miller was one of them. Which in turn revived a point of curiosity I've harbored for years: has anyone ever had the potentially wretched taste to ask KTLA news anchor Emmett Miller, an African-American broadcaster of legitimate distinction, for an opinion on his generations-ago namesake? And, if so, what was the modern-day Miller's response?...
