No audio on these ones sadly. My recorder was unsuccessfully recording 92.1 at home but came up empty, guessing because of lack of high power 92.1's in PTA. Was at work today and noticed Es DX on my break at 2:40-2:50PM, and on lunch from 4:30-5. Three new stations and several relogs.
First Es opening
98.1 KXSN San Diego w/ 'Brass in Pocket' Pretenders and RDS 'San Diego's Greatest Hits.' Relog, 26.5KW at 992 miles.
96.5 KYXY San Diego w/ RDS 'KYXY'. Relog, 26.5KW at 992 miles.
95.7 KSSX San Diego w/ Beyonce song and 'Jamn' RDS. Relog, 28KW at 992 miles.
94.1 KMYI San Diego w/ RDS scrolling 'San Diego's Best Variety'. Relog, 77KW at 992 miles.
94.7 KTWV Los Angeles w/ ID 'The Wave'. Relog, 52KW at 890 miles.
92.3 KRRL Los Angeles w/ commercials and RDS 'Real 92.3'. Relog, 42KW at 890 miles.
95.5 KLOS Los Angeles w/ commercial mentioning Long Beach. Relog, 63KW at 890 miles.
97.9 KTMN Cloudcroft, NM; with classic rock music and ID 'Rock 97.9 - Real Rock', commercial mentioning southern New Mexico. Long ways off from the CA stations but it was mixing with KZTB. I expected this to be Needles CA at first. NEW #652, 14KW at 1242 miles.
Various unids including an 89.3 with a COVID-19 discussion, 88.7 with Paul McCartney, 91.7 SS (likely relog XHGLX Tijuana) and a 96.7 with two older Regional Mexican songs without IDs in between (likely needed KWIZ Santa Ana). Then had to go back to work.
Second Es opening
98.1 KKFM Colorado Springs, CO; ad for Magnum Fitness and a mortgage company mentioning Pueblo. Relog, 71KW at 974 miles.
99.9 KVUU Pueblo, CO; with ID 'My 99.9'. NEW #653, 57KW at 974 miles.
96.9 KCCY Pueblo, CO; with commercial for the same mortgage company in Pueblo as KKFM; and RDS reading 'Y-96.9'. Destroyed semi-local KZTA! NEW #654, 72KW at 974 miles. This was previously logged in western WA but first time to eastern WA.
UNIDs all over the place. A 91.7 with Bob Seger's 'Against the Wind', maybe KOTO Telluride? A 93.5 with Shania Twain's 'That Don't Impress Me Much', the dance-pop remix version. KLMR Lamar likely (Hot AC format). 94.7 with a Calmax infomercial (apparently a supplement for sleeping), could be KRKS Denver but also could be KRYE running out of format (normally Regional Mexican). 96.5 with country, maybe KBKZ Raton. A 90.5 classical station, could be any generic NPR station. Also a 98.9 that was likely KKMG, a 96.1 towards the end of lunch with top 40 (likely KSME Greeley), and an unid 97.3 that didn't sound like KBCO.
