ESPN To Air 24 Hours Of NCAA Hoops On Tuesday 11/17

ESPN will carry live college basketball games at odd hours such as 6 AM and 8 AM ET. It's part of a 24-hour college basketball marathon scheduled for Tuesday, starting at 12 midnight...

The unprecedented start times came from ESPN looking to fill in the blanks in its 24-hour NCAA basketball opening day marathon, which last year debuted with no game action from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET... Some games, such as Temple-Georgetown at 4 p.m. ET, were created specifically to be part of the marathon...

ESPN2 and ESPNU will also carry some games on Tuesday, as well.

Plus side -- it's better than warmed-over Sportscenter reruns.

Minus side -- who watches live sports early in the morning? On a weekday? From the US? And scheduled on purpose?

The 6 a.m. game should be very interesting to watch.

But my question is, who is going to get up at that hour and go to this game?

College kids. They'll make an all-night event out of it.
