ESPN v. Fox Sports Radio: 2 Years Ago

Whatever the reason...

FOX Sports Radio has replaced the phenomenal radio talent and chemistry of Tony Bruno, Mark Patrick on Sports, and Kylie and Booms ....... with such winners as Craig Sherman and J-DUB, Chris Meyers and Unintelligible Black Man, Terrible female update broads, and JT the Glorified Talk Radio Caller. Czaben, the rare appearance of Ferrall, and the hidden weekend performances of Bruce and Maller are the only things going for this wasteland of a network. It's too bad.

ESPN is not much better touting the entertaining but not very intelligent Cowherd, and ONLY 1 Hr of Olberman with Patrick. If it weren't for the guests that come on, these shows would be terrible. And yes, unfortunately, Olberman is but a guest.

Sporting News Radio is the station I find myself listening to most. TB is fantastic as always, but I tire of Willard. Spanier is the best thing going in the evening slot, and Ballou blows JT the Prick out of the water. Not to mention that The David Stein Show... while weird, is just as competitive as anything else out there at late night.

> Sad to see we have another racist on this board after the reference to Brian Cox as the "Black Man". He would love to see you say that to his face, but you hide behind your computer as a coward.
Also you compared Ballou to Brick? J.T. is on 150 more stations than that no name from Chicago while Arnie is another example of a "has been" who can no longer clear affiliates and demand more than minimum wage.
Bruno and Bomms had a lot of talent but couldn't get along with management and had to be let go.
Stein competitive at night? Now you really lost it!

Realdeal, you insist that JT The Brick is on 150 more stations than Ballou, but whats the difference if he's in tiny markets.

For instance, Ballou is on in Los Angeles (JT isnt), Ballou is on in Chicago (JT isnt), Ballou is on in Dallas (JT isnt), Ballou's whole show is carried in Boston, while JT is on only two hours, and during the baseball season often gets pre-empted for local Red Sox talk. Please get your facts straight before you make comments.

The only sports talk host in America on more stations than Brick is Rome. A fact based on FSR's syndication through Premiere and Clear Channel. Rick is on a few O and O's that SNR owns. They all get ZERO shares.
Also, FSR update anchor Krystal Fernandez makes twices that of Rick or any other host at SNR other than Bruno, Brando and JB.
Another real deal fact!

"Rick is on a few O and O's that SNR owns. They all get ZERO shares. "

I might just want to point this out.

The station he is on in Chicago (WSCR) got a 1.9 share in the last book
The station he is on in Dallas (KTCK) got a 2.1 share, and the station he is on in Miami (WQAM) got a 2.0 share...I could go on, but it would be much more of the same.

And I'm willing to bet that ESPN Radio's Gamenight (on at the same time) is on many more stations than JT The Brick, and in bigger markets at that. ESPN Radio Gamenight is on in 8 of the top 10 markets, while JT is on in 4 of the top 10 (with two of those being the 9th and 10th market)

>Who is ther host of Gamenight? Even people inside ESPN have no clue.
Rick is nice filler. He is no Brick and doesn't have any power to clear any market other than the ones that SRN pays to get on. You seem to forget one simple fact. SNR operates in the deep red while paying off fines. No affiliate ever chooses to pick SNR other than Bruno. SNR pays stations to carry their week product. As a listener of sports talk radio, I hope that stay on the air forever so that guys like Bruno and Arnie can have jobs, because FSR and ESPN Radio can't hire everyone.

I'm pretty sure Doug Gottlieb, John Seibel and Fred Coleman split up the 7 day week. I can't imagine how many "inside" people don't know that.

Gottlieb is always on Monday-Friday. Seibel and Coleman are always on Saturday and Sunday, while either Seibel or Coleman co-host with Gottlieb Mon-Fri

that's some real bang for the buck! I'm glad they locked her up with a multi-year deal after Bruno left because I'm sure every station in America would have snatched her up...right

Another wise use of Clear Channel money by Fat Asswood. Those update chicks really pull in the audience numbers, dont they? Asswood must have incriminating photos of the Mays family and Red McCombs, because he is an inept piece of crap that should have been fired a year agg.

You're joking right?
