Shelton doesn't get along with his pop. It's kind of a sore subject.
And he gets really mad when people call him Shelton.
Tom Wells said:I'd bet Hank 3 has much broader viewpoint on issues.

Nope. Those are news themes. This one's only for MNF, and goes back to the 60s. They also used it on the Wide World of Sports.
And yet, Hank III becomes the second generation to try to cash in on the Hank Williams name. :TheBigA said:Shelton doesn't get along with his pop. It's kind of a sore subject.Tom Wells said:Has Hank 3 had anything to say yet? Seriously.

Not on the type country stations I listen to.TheBigA said:That ended his radio airplay.
I was wondering whether any country radio stations pulled Hank's songs from their playlists after this happened. I haven't really heard any of our local country stations (out here I can pick up WQMX in Akron, WGAR in Cleveland, WQKT in Wooster, and WNCO in Mansfield) playing any of his music ever since then, but I don't know for sure. Anyone know of any stations that pulled his music ever since that Fox and Friends appearance?vchimpanzee said:Not on the type country stations I listen to.TheBigA said:That ended his radio airplay.
One of them said, "Where both Hanks play daily". It didn't have much of a signal and went Spanish after about five years, but the station that replaced it also plays both.

Hank hasn't had a hit in 30 years.
Also on one big FM country station which plays only the good stuff.FreddyE1977 said:Still, he's among a set of artists that were popular 30 years ago. You hear him all the time
on the little local AM Classic Country station along with Waylon Jennings, Lynn Anderson,
Charley Pride, Don Williams, Barbara Mandrell, Anne Murray, etc.
None of which are in rotation on the FM country stations that play things recently on the charts.
Brian Donegan said:Not true. According to Joel Whitburn, Hank Jr, has 44 Country chart hits since 1983 (30 years ago) - and 7 chart hits since 2000.
"Mmmm, subtopic, what should be the new MNF theme?"
