Facebook group "I Take Pictures of Transmitter Sites"

This group has grown in the short time it's been up, and as you may have guessed, it's devoted to pics of transmitter sites - along with transmitters, towers, control rooms, and other radio/TV equipment, for engineers and old broadcasting pros...

It's become my favorite stop on Facebook...very cool site and a great group of engineers from rookies to legends participate.

Com'on oldies...don't we need to go back to the old time definition of "friend"....one of the few we could count on ONE hand? Therein the true friends reside...thanks...JBI

More of a respite than retirement...I am hanging around for the transistion, and will slowly fade out back to my shop and engineering computer...gone but not out...and my standing invitation for lunch still stands...looking forward to it...JBI

If you need a Facebook log-in to see it, FORGET IT!
I know any number of people who feel the same way about this board...different strokes for different folks. Myself, I thoroughly enjoy both.

Cool site, now friended and love all the way. Up there with Necrat.

I've been part of it since the beginning. Every day some new, way-cool photos from sites around the world. Great folks, too!

Highly recommend it to those Engineers who are into the 'social media' thing.

Kind Regards,
David Reaves

Indeed, great folks and superb photos and commentary about broadcast engineering and equipment. If you have been shy about a Facebook account (I was reticent until about 1 year ago), what are you waiting for? This page is worth it. Never know when one engineer might help you solve a problem or quirk with your gear too.

That's clearly going to be one of my favorite Facebook pages, really enjoyable.

I'm also going to recommend that folks check out Eyes of a Generation's Facebook page, a great solo effort by Bobby Ellerbee centered on his collection of classic broadcast cameras and historic info. It's even more fun once you know Bobby is the voiceover artist responsible for the ballet tutu-lovin' Sheriff on Adult Swim's Squidbillies.

I will second the nomination for Eyes of a Generation. Bobby has done an amazing job with it. The Facebook site is pretty cool too..
