Fall Arbitrons reflect impact of new Portland market boundaries

For the record, 1400 and 1490 are not Conservative Talk stations. They're trying to do service talk They have Psychologist Dr. Joy Browne and both major family finance talk shows... Dave Ramsey and Clark Howard. And mornings are the syndicated comedy show Bob and Tom, usually heard on FM Classic Rock stations.

For a while only WGAN was doing Conservative Talk. WZAN 970 was trying to be a Hot Talk station with syndicated comedy-talk shows. But I guess those shows are just not that available these days. So WZAN, along with WGAN and WLOB, all run various syndicated Conservative Talk shows. 870's experiment with Liberal Talk was short-lived, with the station switching to the syndicated True Oldies format.
