I guess every station has a song or 2 that just sticks out from the rest of the format. Mary J. Blige's Family affair is the one for ogl. Not only is it not an 80's song, it isn't even a 90's song. The song was released in 2001. Besides that it is rather far on the rapping side of R&B that typically doesn't get included on the variety stations, especially more AC leaning ones like ogl who already cuts out the rap verse on 90's songs such as TLC's waterfall.
Even Ben-fm, who does play 2000's music doesn't air this song.
First time I heard it on ogl, I thought it was a mistake, but I have heard it now 3 times in as many months. Not exactly in heavy rotation, but considering I listen to ogl about an hr or less worth a week, i'm sure its been played more then that, so it is definitely in the fringe side of their rotation.
Anyway no question really, just an odd observation.
