Well, Fox's broadcast network carried President Bush's speech at 9 P.M. EST. The speech ended at 9:18, and a minute later, the network's coverage ended.
"Family Guy" started immediately thereafter, and guess what?? It was shown in full! This week's episode ended at 9:49 P.M. Eastern!
It gets even better if you're a fan of "American Dad": Fox also aired that show in full, resulting in the network's prime-time schedule "sliding". As a consequence, Fox affiliates' high-profit late local newscasts (in the Eastern and Central time zones) were pushed back to 10:19 P.M. EST.
For once, Fox did the right thing!
