Family Radio: May 21, 2011 is Judgement Day

Well.......as of 10am mountain time, we're all ok....

I have this awesome audio processor I want to sell everyone! It can take regular audio and make it sound like the symphony is IN YOUR HEAD in 3D surround, and do it all at 150% that only shows up as 100% on your composite mod monitor. It can take bad songs and make them come out as good ones too. Did I mention that it can also squeeze in 5 extra minutes an hour of spots but make it seem to the listener that you're only playing 2 spots an hour? Yepp, it can also take college kids employed at $8.50/hr and make them sound as good as your high priced talent.

And if you want one of these, did I mention it comes free with this nice bridge built by Mr. Roebling that crosses the East River?

This could be one of the best radio stunts in history... Smackey and Jackie in the morning wish they had thought of something this good while they record their 99,000th phone scam.

As annoying as the Camping bunch have been behaving, what's even more annoying have been the attention they received from the rest of the media. Did they get a reaction or what? ::)

I just hope that that bunch get the ribbing that they deserve in the next few days.

Family Radio-SELL ALL YOUR STATIONS! YOU ARE A WASTE OF VALUABLE FREQUENCY, PEOPLE'S TIME, LIVES! They have their right to practice whatever religious beliefs they want. However, quit telling people all this crap! I didn't believe it anyway. I just think that you all there are rediculous and should be ashamed of yourselves and give people back their money.

i`m confused .is it the rapture or the judgment day?doesn`t the judgment day come another time after the rapture and the rapture is the assention of the christians to heaven ?

As much as we want to blame the stations, you have to blame the fools that believed this even more. Clearly these people had underlying mental issues and hopefully their families and friends can get them the help they need.

So how long before Camping offers his miscalculation explanation?

Or his apologies for not believing the Scriptures that explicity say that no one knows the day or hour, but to keep watch.

I guess that everyone is safe after this whole Judgment Day thing! I wish Family Radio needs to sell the stations soon. Harold Camping is worst than Adolf Hitler and Osama Bin Laden. He made his false calculations, and they proved they were wrong! This has happened since 1994 when the world was suppose to end, but here we are, same thing here. WFRH, another Family Radio affiliate on 91.7 in Kingston, NY did the same thing too! We're all being saved after this mess has been going on. I've seen clips of it on "piastudio's" channel on YouTube where they showed news about the end of the world thing on various TV stations on every state. They were wrong too! This news which has been going on for months and it's complete garbage. Every TV station who runs the news elsewhere are totally not true. This has happened since "The War of the Worlds" radio broadcast from 1938 where Orson Welles describes it as martians entered Earth and destroyed them one by one, and this has happened again with "Paul McCartney Is Dead" hoax back in 1969.

I want to listen to Family Radio's "Open Forum" on Monday night. Wonder if it'll be full of calls from angry people who wasted their life savings. I want to hear how Harold Camping will spin this.

According to this article, there will be no more "Open Forum"
since he said the world was going to end, there was no reason to continue his show. :p

Reporting from Oakland -- Harold Camping's promised final show Thursday night was much like his others. For an hour and a half, before a backdrop of wood paneling and fake plants in an Oakland studio, the self-styled scriptural scholar fielded calls from the devout, the derisive and the curious. He is 89 and bone-thin, making the leather-bound Bible on his lap seem enormous, and his voice was slow and unflappable.

Near the show's end, Camping cut short a caller to announce that this would be his last appearance on the "Open Forum" TV and radio show he's hosted for decades. After all, he explained with a warm smile, the world would be ending Saturday night.

Then he shook hands with a couple of crewmen. "I probably won't see you again," he announced. "I won't be here again."

Yet according to zap2it, WFME-TV has Open Forum on the schedule Monday night at 7. For that matter, WFME-TV will still be on the air with its usual schedule.

And in light of all this, neither Harold Camping nor his family members could be reached for an explanation -- his home in Oakland appeared to be shut up:

Harold Camping might be harder to find than Osama Bin Laden this week. People are ready to kill him as soon as he steps outside. If I was a believer who gave him my life savings and the world didn't end, I'd feel the same way.

Here's a National Post article that has a pic of a billboard, presumably from the Philippines:

The frequency given on the billboard is an AM frequency -- I wonder if Camping owns any stations there or, at least, have affiliates?

He may just be renting the time - as is also common here in the USA.

Somebody in Oakland and San Francisco who is a camping supporter is hiding him. Heck we made Camping the new Glenn Beck. I hope Camping didn't just use this date to commit Suicide. Look in Oakland yesterday, More Anti-Camping groups were waiting outside the Family Radio's 610 AM studios partying like its New Year if you see video from the KGO-TV report lots of San Francisco Media and anti-Camping groups were waiting if he will explain himself. OK Lets protest outside History Channel offices next year and go after the Camping type people who started the 2012 scare. and 2 I hope KNDL the dead religious station in Napa takes over the 610am Frequency.

I tuned in last night and this morning that WFRH in Kingston, NY is still on the air as Family Radio. What's the point? I hope that someday, they should find some place else on 91.7. Put a dance format which is "The Drive" which is on both WJGK and WGNY HD2 channel. Family Stations needs to sell off this religious garbage and put a new dance format like the former "Pulse 87" used to be. Sunrise needs to take over its frequency once and for all. I checked Family Radio's website and it is down. This is totally insane. Harold Camping needs to jump off the building and die, just like Donny Hathaway did back in 1980 where he jumped off the apartment and die. Remember Osama Bin Laden, he has been dead for a couple of weeks, now is Harold Camping's turn.

To get back to WFRH though, if it didn't work, why not flip to "K-Love" instead of this garbage.

If someone else were to pull "the boy who cried wolf" over the air, they either would pay a hefty fine from the FCC or get fired. I say the FCC should get it's monies worth from Camping ;D

If people end up losing everything, even their life, over Camping's broadcasts, the FCC might have a case.

Camping is able to get away with this because the First Amendment protects all religious speech. People believed his interpretation of the Bible and donated their life savings to him. It's a brilliant legal scam. I'd rather not have the FCC fine Family Radio because setting a precedent would open up a can of worms. War Of The Worlds was clearly a hoax, this Judgement Day was real according to his religious beliefs.

If the FCC does fine Family Radio, pretty soon radio stations will be fined for reporting a tornado warning when there is no tornado.

Um...that's waaaaay different on a tornado warning and an "end of the world" warning. And besides, didn't President Bush say the constitution is "just a piece of paper?" :-X

PEOPLE WERE CRAZY FOR DANATING MONEY IS THEIR FAULT THERE IS NO REFUND BECAUSE NO ONE FORCED THEM TO GIVE MONEY NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THE WORLD WILL END. SCIENCE SAYS LIFE WILL END IN ABOUT 4.5 BILLION YEARS FROM NOW. WHAT A WASTE WITH ALL THAT MONEY SPENT FOR BILLBOARDS THEY COULD HAVE HELPED POOR PEOPLE.
