It's not, yet. Likely won't be and across-the-board hit. Just because someone likes it doesn't mean this is a thread of actual hits. Just songs that are his favorites.

i'm tempted to put Shinedown in power rotation soon here...phones for it have ben nuts for over a month.

And no, you shouldn't play something just because you like it, and not playing it because you don't like it is cheating your listeners.

Don't know yet how well Shinedown will do on CHR, but it's been a monster over on the Rock charts. The more Rhythmic leaning CHRs will obviously take their time adding it, if at all.
Basically, CHR stations where bands like Hinder and Nickleback break out of are gonna be the same ones that offer major support to this tune as well. It's once you get past stations like 93.7 STW Wilmington or 101.1 WIXX Green Bay that you'll see how big this record can really get on CHR/Pop. My guess is that Medium market stations in the Midwest and South will have an easier time adding it, followed by the Northeast and Northwest, and lastly the West Coast and Southwest regions.
97.9 NCI Columbus, a very influential CHR, is already on it, and radio programmers do pay attention to the WNCI call letters. 92 Pro up in Providence also just added it.
 
Another song im thinking may make a cut next week or so is called another dimesion,,, it samples Crystal Waters-gypsy Woman, and beastie boys-Integalactic,,,, the artist slips my mind at the moment, but look into it.... I should be able to remember the artist,,,but.... too much vodka...... IDK for sure if i'll test it or not,, it depends,, there are alot of potential CHR hits to test in the next week or so...

im not a fan of lady gaga's poker face,,, but if other CHRs have success with it, then i must add it... I wish my Gm would have allowed just dance to be added like 6 months ago, but he was afraid that it would blow up nationallly by the time we burned it out, like Septembers-Cry for you....

Timmy Vegas ft Bad Lay-dee. Radio 1 plays this one a lot.
 
I really hadn't been listening to a lot of CHR radio lately, but here are the ones I do like:

1. All American Rejects, "Gives You Hell"

4. John Legend/Andre 3000, "Green Light" (though Y101 hasn't played this yet)
5. Shinedown, "Second Chance" (heard it for the first time yesterday and it left quite a mark on me)

Thats a halfway decent record, but the artist name and title of song is so silly and hard to pronouce I doubt even the UK stations would play it. Would be a good dance pop recrod to sneak in if it wasnt such an odd name.... I doubt its even licensed to play or buy outside france.
 
Yeah I know. Hard to pronounce, but it's real catchy.

I'm going to Montreal this weekend. Maybe Energie or CKOI will play it. Some of these songs from France end up on MC Mario's Mix show, such as Laurent Wolf's "No Stress"
