In fact, I don't watch VH1 (I even have blocked out the channel through my digital box's parental lock) or never heard of the show until this story broke--but despite the weekend's tragedy the ordeal reflects a sad case on the state of television in general nowadays.

My main point was that the tragic turn was the murder of the model. Your priorities seemed to be a bit off focus here. If anything, the stupid jerk hanging himself is good news in that it saves the already overburdened taxpayers a lot of money and saves us from yet another media spectacle. He did us a favor.
I'd bet Nancy Grace is bummed though.....

Every time we enter a new decade, some of the worst fads from the decade that just ended oftentimes fall by the wayside. We can only hope that in the 2010s, that "reality TV" will be left behind as nothing more than a stupid relic from the 2000s (the "zeroes"). May "reality TV" soon go the way of the variety show.
