First Ever HD Radio Preview of a Major Release - or just hype ?

"In Miami, the ‘First Ever’ HD Radio Preview of a Major Release"

"Organizers are calling it the first HD Radio preview of a release by a major recording artist. The premiere of Gretchen Wilson’s “One of the Boys” was this week on multicast station “Gretchen 99.9 HD2,” six days before its general release. The station is multicast on WKIS(FM) in Miami and is named for Gretchen Wilson, a country artist with Sony/BMG. The HD2 outlet announced a 24-hour world premiere of the album."

Definitely a sign of HD radio's pending demise.

Gretchen Wilson - Obviously an person who could barely be called a "D" list celebrity.

Her album release. - No one cares about that.

I used to like HD radio, but this kind of thing just makes me want to chuck it all.

PocketRadio is right. This is truly a sign of HDRadio's future. :)
