A gloomy and showery day on Kachess Ridge, even though the WX forecast called for the skies to clear in the afternoon. Oh well. I was intending to hike Easton Ridge (4515') but went the wrong way by accident. Followed the Kachess Ridge trail #1315 up steeply to a gentle walk above a beautiful Silver Creek filled with small waterfalls. From there, I took the left for Beacon Ridge, and climbed steeply up a blowdown-infested trail to a cool former aircraft beacon lookout/NDB station. Views were limited due to low clouds and showers but I could see out to Cle Elum, Lake Easton, I-90 and Kachess Lake. FM scan follows. Coordinates... 47.282N, -121.177W.
