FM Reception Report from Bedford Park, IL - 2/23 to 2/25/2009

Hello to you all. While making my first-ever visit to Chicago this week, I stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, on the Bedford Park side of South Cicero Avenue, close to Chicago-Midway Airport. Here's what my Panasonic AM/FM/CD "Walkman" could pick up on the FM band:

I ended up listening to 104.3 JACK-FM when in the Loop downtown. Just like my attempts with WJMN-FM 94.5 of Boston (HIP HOP/R&B), all reception of POWER 92 was gone once there, due to overload from closer transmitters.

89.7 chould have been Shine.Fm

90.1 was WMBI http://wmbi.mbn.org/I am willing to bet.

Thank you many times over for the call letter and city updates! I was only there for parts of three days. Being from Connecticut, I only had limited knowledge of what I could receive from Chicago at night: 670 AM (barely), WBBM-AM 780 (somewhat), WLS-AM 890 (barely) and WMVP-AM 1000 (decent). The only east coast station I heard while I was there was KYW-AM 1060 from Philadelphia. I never did hear WCBS-AM 880 from New York City. I also tried my home town clear channel, WTIC-AM 1080 from Hartford (which I've picked up in ME and VA). All I heard on 1080 was a foreign language broadcaster. I didn't stick around for their ID.
 
Thanks! So I guess that Chicago is far enough away from both Hartford and Dallas to have a local 1080 AM on at night? Hmmmmmm!
 
Yeah that frequency used to be clear. At night I could alternate hearing KRLD or WTIC. I think I heard WTIC more often than KRLD.
WNWI was daytime only at one time then got licensed to operate at night. I think it was in the 90s, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
