Follow the bouncing ball of KDFC down the dial--KUFX simulcast at 102.1

I just thought this article summarized the whole thing...so the other three threads can wrap up.

But it's wrong. Entercom did not sell KDFC. KDFC is the station at 102.1, and Entercom still owns 102.1. What happened was that USF sold KUSF. THAT is the sale that happened. All that Entercom is doing in the matter is that they're just changing the format and the callsign on 102.1. Okay, they're giving away the website and KDFC logos and stuff to USC, but Entercom will continue to own the KDFC studio and lease it to KUSC.

It's amazing how many people can write incorrect stories and how many more can repeat them. This is the problem with "one-sourcing" news, especially when that news is a press release from Entercom.

They are sort of selling KDFC, they sold the intellectual property of KDFC to USC to put on 90.3

I've been trying to figure out, is what is USC doing up here? Messing with USF!!! USC should stay in SoCal!!!
California State University in Sacramento owns KUOP-91.3, The former University Of The Pacific owned station. So this won't be a first.

Not the first but both of those are Northern California cities.
I agree but KUOP broadcasts out of Sacramento, not Stockton (which is city of license) which is 54 miles away. Even though KDFC will be owned by USC, Won't KDFC still be broadcasting from San Francisco (also the same as city of license)? And isn't current owners of KDFC (Entercom), based out of state in Pennsylvania? At least the new owners are in California, albeit in Southern California.
