Former Boston Talk Radio Host Gene Burns will No longer have a show in San Fran

Unlike so many talk show hosts, who seek only to get a "rise" out of their listeners, Gene Burns was intelligent, thoughtful, polite, and exceptionally well spoken. A real class act.
 
Not sure what you mean. He's currently on KKSF 910 in San Francisco, as he moved both his regular show and dining show to that station a couple months ago.

Gene has never actually aired on KKSF. They announced his move to the station, then he had a stroke just before he was supposed to start.

Gil was one a rotation of mostly former KGO hosts who have been filling in for him on KKSF, and this week, the station gave Gil the afternoon drive slot permanently. It's still hoped that Gene will be on the air on KKSF at some point, and he continues to blog on the station's website.

Dining Around now also airs on KKSF, hosted by Gene's long-time co-host Joel Riddell while Gene is away from the microphone.
