Former Dallas PD Now Running Dan Snyder's Radio Empire

According to All Access: former Ticket PD Bruce Gilbert is named CEO of Red Zebra, the radio cluster(s) owned by Washington Redskins' owner Daniel Snyder. Bruce, a truly good guy and sharp programmer, left Dallas in '03 to run ESPN's radio division. Red Zebra has stations in Washington, Richmond and Norfolk. Bruce says he's excited about returning to "local radio."

I love how "empires" are defined these days....Anywho, congrats to Mr. Giblet on his new position.

Will 103.3's former PD inherit Gilbert's gig at ESPN Radio?

Just goes to show the age old sports analogy... what good does a coach really do with good talent? KESN blows, and it always has. First, they are all recycled national players, and in this big sports town, no one really cares as much unless you are talking DALLAS. Then, we are going to add some exciting local ties... enter Newy, Steve Dennis, Galloway, Hate... ZZZZ! It's plainly obvious that they don't care to be there. The Ticket, with all of their boobs humor, and Gordo with his demented self, are eating up the books because they sound local and fun. Yes, they don't care about the listeners, but at least they care about this town.

So enter Gilbert, with his big brain, and he didn't even make a dent. Good for him getting off of that ship, because I see ICE, ICE BABY in the not-too-distant future. He is a great guy with a contagious presence. He will do great.

No kidding. That group of second-rate, coffee-pot signals is anything but an empire. That's like calling Principle the new emperor of the kingdom that is 990 and 700.
