For those of you that may remember the short lived dance station (it lasted all of three months lol) "The Whip" in Grand Rapids from 1999, you may enjoy this.
Last Sunday night, we re-created and brought The Whip back for two hours, just at a better frequency (104.5): all 90's dance mixed by three of the original mixers from "The Whip" (still in the market spinning weekly club gigs!), even changed the imaging to say "104 Five The Whip" with the original voice guy Bumper Morgan and had short interviews with the mixers.
The story of how all this ended up happening plus links to the audio of the entire 2+ hour broadcast/mixes and a link to a story that Dance Music Authority Magazine did on the station are all at http://www.club1045online.com
Hope you enjoy it! Would love to hear what everyone thinks....
