Former Fox 5 Reporter Stacy Elgin now anchoring All News mornings?

Stacy Elgin, former road warrior on Good Day Atlanta, has been anchoring All News this morning. It's gotta have something to do with one year contracts being up. Michelle posted something on Facebook to the effect of "some surprises aren't very good."
 
It sounded like this was the first shift that Stacy had worked on the air. If true, she should have worked a couple of not-prime time shifts before working morning drive. It really made the morning drive show sound amateurish this morning. Everybody sounds like that the first shift they work at AN1067. Stacy should not have been put in that position.

Indeed, it was. In fact, I think her appearance on the station was almost last-minute. According to staff schedules that have been forwarded to me...Andy is supposed to be anchoring solo until Tiesday.
 
Everything from 6A - 6P should be polished. It would have been better to let Andy anchor alone or move one of the midday anchors to morning for a few days. Actually, I don't think I have ever heard them have two male anchors on at the same time.

Happened once. Mark Woolsey and David Hull anchored election 2012 coverage.

There were some slip ups, but, I liked the sound of Andy Rose and Stacy Elgin.
 
Think about this, though: when your station is a year in sand finds their morning broadcast the least listened to of the three major dayparts, and multiple observers say the broadcast leaves a lot to be desired, wouldn't Jennifer Perry and Company want a change?

Michelle sounds very, very good...by herself. When Andy Rose has been out and Chuck Roberts wasn't there to fill in, the broadcast sounded a lot better. Perhaps, you could move her to anchor nights from 7-midnight and place Woolsey in a better location. I'm not sure, but Michelle might have more energy at that time of day, anyway.

Stacey and Andy sounded really good today. Bottom line...we're a year into the station and changed should be made to better improve the station. As she's been proving time and time again, she has been authorized to hire more people. We'll see where it goes from here.

On the air, Maria Boynton has a great and rather distinct personality.

I think she's really fast paced- which All News needs in the morning.
