Former Hot 97 DJ Megatron shot to death in NYC

He wasn't on WERS, but he was my co-host on Friday Night Live, a mixshow we did on Hot 97.7 in the early 2000s. He helped me get my nickname "Big Chicago" and was one of the cooler men I knew. We grew apart because of distance, but we would talk on Facebook from time to time. Good dude. I still can't believe that he is gone.
 
what is it about hot97 and heated exchange elevating to heat-packing mayhem?

Wikipedia even "mentions Hot 97 as a traditional place to get shot"

you cant make this stuff up..
